Tommy Ahmed is an Egyptian software engineer, product architect and entrepreneur based in Heliopolis, Cairo. In 2025 he founded Orcaa, a business management platform that runs bookings, point of sale, inventory, customer records, invoicing, team management and reporting for independent businesses, in Arabic and English. He builds it end to end, solo and self funded: the Laravel backend, the React apps owners use every day, the desktop and mobile clients, and the copy in both languages. Before Orcaa he spent years building enterprise management systems for other companies, including platforms that run residential communities and clinic systems that handle patients, appointments and records. He also taught programming to cohorts of new developers, and in 2026 co-founded Aera, an Egyptian contemporary fashion brand, where he leads brand and digital direction.
